Burke Earns ISO 14001 Certification

BCI Burke’s commitment to environmentally sustainable operations has earned the company the ISO 14001 certification.

The certification, which applies to environmental aspects over which the company has control, ensures the implementation and maintenance of an environmental management system that complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

“We have a dedication to providing quality products with manufacturing processes that are sensitive to the environment. Our team embraced and rallied around the ISO 14001 program, showing enthusiasm that goes beyond simply meeting the requirements,” said Tim Ahern, chief executive officer and owner of BCI Burke.

Part of Burke’s environmental management system includes the reduction of energy usage throughout the company. Burke has enrolled in Alliant Energy’s “Second Nature™ Program,” which ensures increased use of energy from wind and other renewable sources.
