BCI Burke boosts National Recreation and Park Foundation
FOND DU LAC, Wisc. September 16, 2010 — BCI Burke Company, known for quality playground equipment, personal service and a commitment to safety since 1920, made a recent gift of $30,000 to the National Recreation and Park Foundation (NRPF.)
“This is an exciting time for the Foundation, as they near the mid-point towards a $1 million goal in endowment funds,” said Tim Ahern, BCI Burke Owner/CEO. “We are proud to push the Foundation’s efforts forward to improve the health and wellness of families and communities,” he said.
NRPF’s primary focus is to support the park and recreation movement to improve people’s quality of life. More specifically, the Foundation will support research and public awareness of the economic, social and physical value of parks and recreation in creating healthy families and communities for all populations to include educating and reaching the underserved through the building of an endowment fund.
“BCI Burke’s generous gift gives us the momentum needed to continue our focus of ensuring the longevity of the park and recreation movement and we are thrilled to partner with them,” said Fran Mainella, NRPF Chair.
