Fond du Lac, Wis (September 11, 2007) - BCI Burke has announced a founding donation of $25,000 to support the Connect Kids Campaign, aimed at establishing a new home for the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac. BCI Burke is a premier manufacturer of commercial playground, park, recreation, and skatepark equipment with headquarters in Fond du Lac.
“We are extremely proud to be a part of this valuable project for the Fond du Lac community and beyond,” says Tim Ahern, president and chief executive officer of BCI Burke. “The value of play for children is critical to their development, and the museum’s dynamic exhibits will support this as well as offer a healthy outlet for kids. The neat thing is that parents and caregivers will have just as much fun at the museum as the kids.”
While Burke has committed a monetary donation, the company also will provide playground components for exhibits within the museum.
BCI Burke joins the growing list of financial supporters of the museum by providing funding for exhibits and programs. Other major contributors to the Connect Kids Campaign include Agnesian HealthCare and St. Agnes Hospital Foundation, Mercury Marine, JF Ahern, The Oberreich Foundation, and The Oakmark International Funds. The Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac will open its doors in December 2007, in the Windhover Center for the Arts on Sheboygan Street in downtown Fond du Lac.
