Chicago Parks District Installs 11 New Burke Playgrounds!

Specify Alternate Text

Last spring, Mayor Emanuel launched the Chicago Plays! playground renovation program. Through this initiative, the Chicago Park District plans to rebuild or repair 325 commercial playgrounds over the next five years.

“Mayor Emanuel’s Chicago Plays! program was developed to insure that families across the city can access colorful and inviting playgrounds,” said Michael Kelly, Chicago Park District General Superintendent and CEO. “We are pleased to be able to renovate more playgrounds and impact more communities than expected this year.”

In 2014 BCI Burke worked with the Chicago Park District to successfully install 11 exciting, new playgrounds throughout the city. Stay tuned for more exciting Burke, Chicago Plays! playground projects coming in 2015! In the mean time, check out our Photo Gallery with images of the parks renovated with Burke equipment or visit the Chicago Parks website for more information.
