Earth Day is a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability and encourages us to come together and take action for a healthier planet and a brighter future for our children! At Burke outdoor play is our passion, our mission and our business and preserving the places we play now and for the future is one of our core values. Using 100% renewable energy, maintaining an ISO 14001: 2015 certification and designing and manufacturing products that have a long lifespan are some examples of how Burke’s Sustainability Mission comes to life.
Celebrating Earth Day 2024
This year’s Earth Day theme is “Planet vs. Plastics” and calls on all stakeholders to unite in combating plastic pollution and protecting our health and environment. Single-use plastics play a huge role in the increase of plastic waste. One of the ways Burke works, and will continue to work, to reduce these is continued quality of product designs, LED lighting and using renewable electricity. We want to do our part and more to help keep our Earth a happy, healthy place to live, work, PLAY and raise our children.
Take a day this month to spend some time outdoors, pick up litter, play at a park or playground, take a hike or ride your bike to work. Bring your children. They are the future and people protect what they love and understand, and kids will understand the importance of outdoor play if they experience it.
