In Fort Lupton, Colorado, a park became more than just a playground — it became a destination. When the city issued an RFP for a full park renovation, they weren’t just looking for play equipment — they wanted adventure. They sought a bold, inclusive space designed for everyone.
Two designs were submitted and shared with every elementary school in the district — and the kids voted and chose Burke! The winning concept was chosen by the community and brought to life through collaboration with the city, the architect, A to Z Recreation and the Burke design team.
The vision was ambitious: a destination-style park, a separate play area for ages 2–5, inclusive surfacing and an experience that invited everyone to belong. The newest Burke innovations were the perfect fit. Nucleus Evolution®, MOVMNT® and a variety of playground staples, including swings and slides, combine adventure, creativity and play equity to create fun for everyone.
